Buy a new one. They don't cost enough to make it worthwhile struggling to get it to work. They all fail at some point and once it has started to misbehave you will never be able to trust it again so get rid of it is the best policy.
If you have important data you need to get from it, well you shouldn't have put important data on it anyway if it wasn't backed up to a more reliable device first (eg optical disk or hard drive).

I know it's an old thread, but some people still come and there isn't a good answer, so you may try this:
Click on Start;
Click on Run;
Type: chkdsk /f PenDrivePartition: ;
Press Enter or click on OK.
Ex.: Assuming your pen drive partition is G:, you should type: chkdsk /f g:
Click on Start;
Click on Run;
Type: chkdsk /f PenDrivePartition: ;
Press Enter or click on OK.
Ex.: Assuming your pen drive partition is G:, you should type: chkdsk /f g:

* THE FIRST WAY
the first way is the simplest way to use cmd. usually potent if the damage is just corrupt or badsector error on Flash software.
1. open Cmd.exe (click Start – Run – type in CMD – press ENTER)
2. plug the pendrive is damaged,
3. type FORMAT h:/FS: FAT then ENTER.
H is the location of your pendrive, if the location of the Flash in explorer is G then FORMAT g:/FS: FAT then ENTER.
* SECOND WAY
still use CMD. But there is a bit of a difference, it's just simply check
1. open Cmd.exe (the way the same as above)
2. plug the pendrive is damaged,
3. type CHKDSK/f h: then ENTER
4. Press Enter to check process is completed.
* The THIRD WAY of using the windows Check Disk
1. Plug a Flash and then open windows explorer
2. right-click Flashdisk – Properties – Tools – Check Now
3. check the second option. "Automatically fix file system errors" and "Recovery of bad sectors" of the 4. Wait until the process is complete.
* FOURTH WAY using Computer Management
1. plug the pendrive is damaged
2. go to RUN then type URcompmgmt.msc – ENTER
3. Click on Storage and select Disk Management
4. If any pendrive detected, right click – Create Partition. then right click again – FORMAT
